Creekside Floral Collective: 2025 Wrapped

A Year in Flowers: Reflecting on 2025 at Creekside Floral Collective

As the year comes to a close, I’ve been thinking about all the small moments that quietly shaped 2025 at Creekside Floral Collective. The kind that don’t always make it onto social media—long days in the field, the hum of the barn before an event, hands full of flowers and a heart full of gratitude. This year asked a lot, but it gave even more in return.

A Field Full of Peonies

Summer arrived with one of our biggest milestones yet: a beautifully successful peony harvest. After months of planning and care, seeing the fields full of flowers felt incredibly rewarding. The peonies were abundant, lush, and bursting with colour.

Our weekly peony subscriptions were a highlight of the season. Year after year, these subscriptions create a rhythm to peony season—early morning harvests, familiar names on order lists, and the quiet joy of preparing bouquets that return to the same homes

each week throughout the Bulkley Valley. Sharing the fleeting beauty of peony season in this way felt like one of those rare moments you wish you could hold onto for just a little longer.

Summer Evenings and Golden Hour

Summer brought long days, warm air, and the magic of our Golden Hour Market, hosted alongside Ashlee Nadine Photography and Detailed Events. With flowers glowing in the evening sun and local vendors gathered together, the atmosphere felt effortless and joyful. We enjoyed yoga with calves amongst the blooming field of peonies and it was a reminder that these are the kinds of moments that don’t need much embellishment—just good people, good light, and a little faith in the timing of it all.

The Barn at Lemieux Creek

One of the most significant milestones of 2025 was opening The Barn at Lemieux Creek as a wedding venue. What began as a long-held dream slowly became a reality - space where couples could gather, celebrate, and begin their marriage surrounded by flowers and the natural beauty of the land.

Opening the barn doors to weddings felt deeply personal. Seeing the space styled with florals, filled with emotion, and brought to life by each couple’s story was incredibly meaningful. The Barn became more than just a backdrop—it became a place where love stories unfolded in real time, and watching it step into this new chapter was something I’ll always remember.

A Festive Finish to the Season

As the year shifted into fall and winter, the farm transformed once again. Wreath season arrived, which turned out to be one of our biggest successes of the year. From fresh, fragrant wreaths to sold-out days and returning customers, the response was overwhelming in the best possible way. Wreath season was a labor of love, and seeing it resonate so strongly with this community was incredibly rewarding.

And then came my favourite event of the year, the Christmas at Creekside Market, hosted with Ashlee Nadine photography. The barn was transformed and local vendors filled the market with thoughtfully made goods, while wreaths, greenery, and seasonal florals brought the season to life. There was a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus, hands wrapped around warm drinks and delicious food and that cozy, unhurried feeling that’s so rare during the holidays.

Watching families, couples, and friends come together to wander through the market—choosing wreaths, snapping pictures, finding meaningful gifts, and lingering a little longer than planned—was incredibly special. Christmas at Creekside felt intentional, welcoming, and deeply connected, making it a beautiful way to slow down and gather before the year came to a close.

Looking Ahead

2025 was a year of growth—not just in the fields and on the farm, but in confidence, creativity, and connection. Every bouquet, market, and wreath was made possible by the continued support of the Bulkley Valley community.

Thank you for visiting us here at both Creekside and The Barn at Lemieux, attending markets and workshops, supporting local flowers, and being an integral part of the Creekside Floral Collective story. I’m heading into the next season feeling grateful, inspired, and excited for what’s to come.

Xo,

Lindsay
